32 teams are eagerly looking forward to the Cybergroup BeachCup

Summer has finally come, and with it the BeachCup! Only 12 more weeks to the sporting highlight for the promotional goods industry, at which suppliers and dealers relax together and enjoy hotly contested matches in the sand.

It's only 12 weeks until the Cybergroup BeachCup - for the promotional goods industry the sporting highlight of the year. In 2018 this event will be taking place for the seventh time. With more and more teams registering for the competition, there is a long waiting list. As was the case last year, the list of participants consists of 32 teams from 28 different companies – with teams coming to compete in the sand not just from Germany but also from other European countries. The competition will once more be sponsored by Reflects and Mahlwerck!

Everybody looks forward to the BeachCup, not just because it will finally be summer and the weather will be warm. Cybergroup will once more fill the weekend with summer highlights which our colleagues, the teams and the families are already looking forward to. The slogan for 23 June is: "Play + Fun + Party = BeachCup".  And of course there will be some fiercely contested matches between suppliers and dealers from the promotional goods industry!

On Saturday, 23 June 2018, the 7th Cybergroup BeachCup will be held at Ketsch in Baden. Starting at 9:30 a.m., the beach volleyball tournament will be played on four courts. On the evening before the familiar venue in Walldorfer Straße will be open for team training. As in previous years the weekend begins with an enjoyable barbecue, indicating that during the Beach Cup the culinary side will not be neglected.

And while cyber-Wear suppliers, partners and employees face each other on the field of play, the players’ friends and families will be doing their part in the stands: visitors coming to cheer their teams and celebrate with us are expressly welcome but need to register in writing in advance. The kits for all the teams will once again be designed and provided by cyber-Wear. As in previous years, the matches will be refereed by professionals and cheered on by the BeachCup cheerleaders, while the players will once again be provided with physiotherapists and masseuses who will gladly tend to tired and injured muscles in return for a voluntary donation to the Waldpiraten (“Forest Pirates”), a Heidelberg project for children suffering from cancer. The entire event will receive energetic support from members of the Ketsch sports club.

This year it will be presented by Christian Pudlo, DJ and radio presenter with Radio Regenbogen. He grew up in Karlsruhe, joined the local football club at the age of seven and then became a radio presenter when he was 19 – this is a rough outline of Christian's career. When Karlsruhe became too small for him his studies took him into the big wide world – or at least as far as Mannheim, where he joined Radio Regenbogen in addition to his studies. He has been working there as a presenter and disc jockey for 10 years now, and has supported a wide range of events.  Together with DJ la Dous, who will once again be responsible for the music programme, he'll make sure that the speakers are doubly certain to provide pure motivation. And speaking of music: the ZOGI Players’ Night including the award ceremony will take place directly after the BeachCup at the boat house in Mannheim, starting at 8 p.m.
