What's new at the PSI?

With even better equipment than last time my Marketing colleagues and I once more went on a "trend hunt" during the entire trade fair. You'll find all the interviews with suppliers on our website or directly on our YouTube channel.

Ever since the first PSI cyber Lounge three years ago, the trade show has for us not only been an opportunity for customer care, but also for checking out the latest trends and interviewing our partner suppliers. So it was clear to us in the Marketing team from the very start of planning for the trade fair that our interview appointments would again be at the top of the agenda. With even better equipment than last time we were once again on the hunt for the latest trends during the entire trade fair.

Of course, the focus during the fair is on discussions with customers. But in the Marketing team we can always take a few minutes to ask many of our wonderful partners briefly and concisely about their product highlights and latest innovations. In the interviews I first introduce the contact persons and companies in a few short sentences, and then leave the stage to our partners and their products. Some of the participants were a little nervous, but in the end everyone mastered the interview in a charming and relaxed manner - no re-takes or editing necessary!

I had already arranged appointments with some partners in advance, but more than a few arrangements were turned upside down at the fair and we often had to film on the spur of the moment, depending on how our interviewees were able to break away from their trade fair commitments. Everywhere we were warmly welcomed as a team, after which the interviewees were professionally miked up and then our technical wizard Michael gave the go-ahead for the interview.

Because we had to concentrate on the essentials we were unfortunately generally only able to mention a few new products and innovations. However Steven, our Managing Director Marketing & Sales Global, will certainly pick up on these and other products in one of our next CG Live Talks, or one of my sales colleagues will present them in detail and exclusively at upcoming customer meetings.

While the entire cyber team was working flat out looking after customers in the lounge and at the trade fair, while other colleagues were working hard to get the evening event with its 42 works of art into place, Michael and I roamed freely around the fair, edited the relevant data and uploaded the videos as quickly as possible to our various cyber channels. We not only uploaded videos to our website and, of course, our YouTube channel, but also shared the latest content on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and XING - as well as on our intranet, so that colleagues in our branches around the world were also provided with quick and detailed information from the fair.

Thanks to the creative ideas of our partner suppliers, the interviews were often very amusing, varied and entertaining. Even a number of visitors were so fascinated by what was happening that they literally bumped into our cameras. However, in addition to commitment and professionalism, enjoying your work is also an important part of everyday trade fair life and solidarity within the industry - so in this spirit we hope you'll enjoy watching our interviews!
