To China and back – global service and local processing
Together with our Audi contacts, our Key Account Manager and our CEO went on an intensive short trip to China for a face-to-face exchange.Six days, nine meetings, three Chinese cities, thousands of kilometres travelled by air on five legs of the journey and 220 kilometres on the high-speed train from Hangzhou to Shanghai, resulted in around 70 hours of intensive time with our top customer. During the meetings, they sat down with around 30 of the most important local contacts to discuss current and future projects and to strategically develop the cooperation. For someone travelling to one of China's incredibly vibrant cities for the first time, the culture and way of working in China is both overwhelming and impressive. Here are a few interesting impressions from this trip.
"It is fascinating to see how fast China is moving, what incredible human power there is and how everyone is hungry and wants to succeed," says Björn Kaiser - Key Account Manager Audi Collection. It is both impressive and frightening to see the speed and scale with which manufacturers of electric cars or hybrids, the so-called new forces, are emerging in China. All taxis and buses in Beijing, Hangzhou and Shanghai are electric vehicles. The number of electric vehicles on the roads cannot be overlooked. The power of innovation and the desire for change can be felt everywhere. There seems to be nothing left of the "old" China, and the new China is driving electromobility forward by leaps and bounds. This is exactly what we want to build on with the Audi collection and further position it in the Chinese market. In addition to the official Audi collection products, which are developed in close cooperation with Audi AG and the team in Ingolstadt and form the global core range, there will also be local adaptations and implementations in the future. Again, we can draw on our global expertise to advise and implement both globally and locally.
