The exclusive Pebble Beach Concours d‘Elegance

cyber-Wear, Cybergroup UK and Cybergroup US once more work hand in hand on behalf of Aston Martin at the premier event for the world's automobile industry

Year in, year out the Monterey Car Week attracts thousands of automobile fans from throughout the world to Monterey, California. Nowhere does the world of cars shine brighter than it does against this picturesque scenery directly on the seashore on Highway No 1. For a week, from 20 to 26 August 2018, the fastest, most expensive and rarest cars in the world can be admired there. Regardless of whether it's a brand new hyper sports car, a large luxury sedan or a priceless vintage automobile: here they're all on the starting grid. To be precise, Car Week is made up of many individual events: ranging from "The Quail" via "Legends of the Autobahn" to "Exotics on Cannery Row" – with the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance as the grand finale. The Concours d'Elegance is not a competition in terms of speed, but of elegance. Cars are judged on their style and technical value, as well as on their history, originality and the accuracy of their restoration.

At this most prestigious car event, of course, the presence of one of the world's most exclusive makes is essential: Aston Martin. Accordingly, at an auction by RM Auctions Sotheby’s in Monterey, an Aston Martin DBR1 achieved the gigantic sum of $20.5m, making it the most expensive British car to be sold at auction to date.

Three companies from the global Cybergroup network set off for Monterey, together with and on behalf of Aston Martin. This opportunity creates unbeatable competitive advantages on every continent, as barely a competitor can manage anything similar. The entire repertoire of Cybergroup's global operations was showcased, from easy access provided by production facilities throughout the world to support for the customer both in the home country as well as at the event location on another continent.  Administration and logistics were controlled from cyber-Wear’s German locations. Our British colleagues were responsible for coordinating everything with Aston Martin at the sports car manufacturer’s headquarters in Great Britain, as well as for preparing and implementing the event on site in California. Production of the articles took place in the US, under the supervision of the American colleagues, in order to avoid unnecessary transport costs and customs charges. Furthermore, Cybergroup US assumed responsibility for logistics to Monterey, and just as the British company did, supplied its own personnel for taking care of the shop during the event.
