The cyber team selects its ombudsperson
At cyber-Wear Inga Clausen is not just Head of Design, but has also been elected company ombudsperson until the end of this year.Inga Clausen joined cyber-Wear when she had just turned 20, and last year celebrated her 15th anniversary with the company. The company wishes to thank her for her many years of service, as well as her loyalty and solidarity. Over the years the designer has developed into an increasingly valuable employee, and neither the company nor her colleagues wish to do without her services. She has become a firmly established member of the team, thanks to the wealth of experience she has acquired from countless projects with cyber-Wear, the fast and uncomplicated way in which she works, and her creativity. This integration within the team and within the company has now been confirmed once more by her election as ombudsperson.
If required, her colleagues now have – in addition to the management and the HR department – a further contact person whom they can approach in confidence. An ombudsperson is accordingly a personal point of contact providing an impartial point of view and offering neutral support and advice on professional and work-related subjects.
The aim of the ombudsperson is to create a harmonious working atmosphere and ensure that conflicts in the workplace can be avoided as much as possible. The election of the ombudsperson is by secret ballot organised by the HR department. All members of staff at cyber-Wear Heidelberg GmbH can put themselves forward as candidates in the election. Each location can elect its own ombudsperson. The votes are counted under the supervision of an employee who has not taken part as a candidate.
The ombudsperson has to have the trust of the workforce, and act in critical situations in such a way that any problems which employees have are looked into and solved wherever possible.
Accordingly the ombudsperson is a point of contact for staff, separately from the management and HR department. He or she can be contacted by employees who are dissatisfied or have a problem, in the knowledge that their concern will be treated in confidence. The ombudsperson can only discuss the subject with the HR department or the management if the relevant employee has provided his or her consent for this. This consent has to be recorded in writing.
Inga Clausen will now hold this office until 31 October 2018. The company is proud to have such a trusted and popular employee, and wishes to congratulate her on her election.
