Meet our team: Thomas Metzke, Key Account Manager
Cybergroup presents its team With the help of his own team Thomas Metzke, Key Account Manager from Heidelberg provides support to a regular customer baseContinuing the video presentation of the Cyber group team, today with a colleague from Heidelberg. Thomas Metzke has been working as a key account manager for the company since August 2017.
Due to his family background the 47-year-old grew up bilingually, enabling him to provide optimum support for both German and French-speaking customers. His know-how has proved invaluable both in the back office and in customer care.
As a key account manager he looks after a fixed customer base within Germany and abroad. Before joining Cybergroup he acquired experience in the fashion business, in which as a project manager he spent 18 years travelling between customers and fashion companies. Today, too, he spends a lot of time on the road for the purpose of providing support to customers and events, and advising them on the subject of promotional goods. He is helped in this not just by his great flexibility, but also by his charming and appealing manner.
Flexibility also often means not knowing in the morning what the day will bring. So Thomas Metzke, generally known to his colleagues as Tommy, normally starts the day with a cup of coffee and then checks out his emails and appointments. There are always a number of projects and events happening at the same time, and it's his job to support his customers as a reliable, creative contact partner.
The variety of his work is what appeals to him most in the job, and he finds it exciting to identify exactly the right promotional articles and solutions for his highly diverse customers across a wide range of industry. Thomas also highlights the excellent cooperation within the team and the support he receives above all from his closest colleagues, who make a major contribution to all projects and enquiries. With this kind of support the key account manager can concentrate on his core task: providing his customers with optimum care.
