cyber-Wear and sustainability - a well-rehearsed team!

When we moved into our new headquarters we attached great importance to making both the building and our working operations as environmentally friendly as possible.

The "open space" offices at cyber-Wear don't just provide creativity in the workplace, but also reflect the important issue of sustainability. On the one hand this includes our photovoltaic system covering the entire roof area of the warehouse, and on top of this all our offices are facing north. At the same time cutting-edge technology enables us to run an almost completely paperless office.

And what about electricity consumption? Green electricity is the answer here! Our electricity is 100% CO2 neutral - but that is by no means all. Throughout the building the LEDs are controlled by motion detectors, light sensors and a timer, enabling us to reduce our daily electricity consumption dramatically.   And when it comes to our water consumption, too, 'less is more'. cyber-Wear tries to use only the absolutely necessary amount of water.

cyber-Wear is also on an environmentally friendly course when it comes to waste. We thought: why throw away used cardboard boxes when you can re-use them? Our cardboard boxes go on a journey more than just once! However, sustainability is a major issue not only in packaging, but also in textiles! After lengthy trials and tests we are currently switching to polybags made of recycled plastic. All these things are discussed in advance with the supplier to make sure there can be no misunderstandings.

Have you ever heard of upcycling? In this process, old textiles and materials are turned into something new. Unlike recycling, upcycling increases the value of the original material. With this concept, too, cyber-Wear is right at the centre instead of just being a part of it! Many of our customers are familiar with this concept and implement it in their product range.

So what remains in terms of sustainability? Of course, e-mobility! No matter if it's a matter of business trips or commuting, cyber-Wear offers sustainable alternatives for both. We provide both electric company vehicles and hybrid vehicles for longer distances. And the very best thing about it: the charging points, which are located directly on our company premises, are powered by our own photovoltaic system! As far as commuting to work is concerned, there are a number of employees who come to work by bicycle from the station.

From sustainable headquarters to waste avoidance and e-mobility, cyber-Wear is actively committed to the environment. The entire team is always eager and ready to accept and implement new environmentally oriented ideas and suggestions.
