Applying creativity and giving it space - the new Design Lab
The Design Lab in the new cyber-Wear building in Mannheim has been equipped and stands for new ideas, creative thoughts and innovative processes. The Design Lab, set up especially for the design and graphics department, is bubbling over with creativity and offers completely new working conditions. It was completed last week in the new cyber-Wear building in Mannheim with great attention to detail. It is ten times the size of the previous office and now offers space not only for the design staff and endless creativity, but also for workshops of all kinds. Here people can let give free rein to their thoughts, letting ideas bubble up and then recording them in order to finally develop new projects and products.
As soon as you enter the room it becomes clear what it is all about: at its centre stand several mannequins in cool vintage style, impressively staging the latest clothing collections developed and produced by cyber-Wear. Next to them there is an old rustic wardrobe from Roman Weiss's recently disbanded parental hotel. Here employees will find the cool Cybergroup employee collection consisting of T-shirts, caps, hoodies, cups, backpacks and lots of other things that staff need both at work and in their free time. Large carpets and two sitting areas give the spacious room a feeling of cosiness and tranquillity. A Think Green shelf in retro-look, which shows a range of sustainable products of all kinds, stands for environmental awareness as an integral part of the corporate philosophy at cyber-Wear, and is intended to stimulate and inspire customers at the same time. And then there's the new, fully-equipped photo studio. It offers everything a photographer's heart can desire and perfectly rounds off the Design Lab concept.
"Our ultra-modern Design Lab is intended to promote creativity and accordingly find new and successful solutions as far as possible. After all, a new working environment ensures more creative thought processes, new ideas and innovative outcomes. Here even the smallest lightbulb moment can be clearly displayed, while connections can be presented and discussed in detail," says Steven Baumgaertner.
