MoPA Night - MoPA celebrates its premiere at PSI

This year’s PSI started with the biggest industry meeting of the trade show so far: the MoPA Night. International guests enjoyed the exclusive premiere of the MoPA Museum of Promotional Articles over canapés and live jazz alongside Düsseldorf's Lord Mayor, Stephan Keller.

This PSI was exceptional, with a number of highlights awaiting visitors. PSI and Cybergroup hosted an exclusive event on the exhibition grounds before the trade fair. After the set-up on Monday, we celebrated the premiere of the Museum of Promotional Articles, a unique gala evening, to which Düsseldorf's Lord Mayor Stephan Keller and industry-related guests from all over the world were invited.

"We are delighted that this great exhibition will celebrate its premiere at PSI. The history and the historical significance of promotional products in the marketing mix is an exciting topic that has occupied mankind for many centuries. It's an honor for us to set the stage for this wonderful promotional products museum at PSI." Petra Lassahn, Director PSI.

The guests invited to the MoPA Night appeared in evening attire and were greeted by a flurry of flashbulbs and a high-quality welcome gift, naturally in the MoPA design. The evening began with welcome speeches by Michael Köhler, Petra Lassahn, Steven Baumgaertner and Dr. Stephan Keller, who was attending PSI for the first time. In a pleasant atmosphere with canapés, a DJ, and a live saxophone performance, the evening provided an opportunity for networking and the first guided tours through the exciting history of promotional products.

"First of all, I would like to thank you all for coming this evening. I know January is traditionally a busy month with lots of events and commitments. The same goes for me, but I wanted to make not to miss this one. So, cheers to tradition, cheers to change, and to the limitless possibilities of advertising. I trust that many of you are already familiar with the trade fair. If not, I’m sure you’ll have plenty of time over the next few days to explore not only the PSI trade fair, but also the rest of our beautiful city. But tonight, we are not here to talk about the beauty of Düsseldorf, but to take you on a journey through time, if you like. On another subject: tradition meets transformation. This carefully curated collection takes us on a captivating journey of discovery. Covering an area of 170 square meters, it looks at the origins of promotional products and displays iconic items that have played a central role in advertising, branding, and even historical and political events. I would like to thank Cybergroup International and PSI for their hard work."
