Sustainability pays off!

In the production of umbrellas around 300,000 litres of water have already been saved thanks to the #waterSAVEchallenge. Impressive! In this challenge, every participating customer supports people worldwide with water filters, hygiene kits, hand pumps and much more.

"Water is life."  This is the tagline of the #waterSAVEchallenge, which is committed to ensuring that people all over the world have access to clean drinking water and basic sanitation. 

 

Last year FARE, our expert for umbrellas of all kinds, developed a new process that massively reduces the consumption of natural resources, energy and pollution of the environment with harmful substances when the cover material of the umbrellas is dyed.  Since 2021 we have been able, together with Viva con Agua, to do some good deeds with all the umbrellas that have waterSAVE cover material.  Depending on the value of the order, our customers can decide for themselves which project they would like to support with their donation.  It will be invested, for example, in soap for schools, water filters, hygiene workshops and kits, well mechanics and manually operated pumps.  For example, we donated five manual pumps worth €5,000 with our client Porsche, and hygiene workshops with Recaro Automotive.

 

Smaller amounts that have gone beyond the actual project donation are collected in an extra "donation pot".  At the end of the year and on the occasion of World Water Day on 22.3.2022, € 4,000 of this amount was already donated to Viva con Agua!
