Cybergroup becomes merchandising partner of the first esports Championship

From now on we will take over the merchandising for the new RCCO World eX Championship, which combines motorsport, entertainment and sustainability.

The new RCCO World eX Championship continues to add world-class partners to the project with the latest addition of Cybergroup International. While World eX is hard at work preparing for #RacingForTheClimate in the virtual world of esports racing, the preparation in the real world is also at full speed, including on the merchandising front.

„Cybergroup brings more than a quarter of a century’s worth of specialist expertise in promotional merchandise, corporate fashion and scale models to the table. In addition, the company is also a leading brand for sustainable solutions. Sustainability is clearly reflected in the company’s product range, making it an ideal partner for World eX and its mission of combining motorsport entertainment and raising awareness for the climate crisis. Cybergroup also has experience from the real world of motorsport like the DTM, as well as currently producing the merchandising of two DTM champions, René Rast and Marco Wittmann“, says RCCO World eX.

“World eX is an exciting new project and its core message of sustainability rings true with us at Cybergroup,” says Steven Baumgaertner, CEO and Global Sales Director of Cybergroup International. “We are pushing for increased sustainability in our products and supply chains and interesting projects like World eX are a perfect fit and we are looking forward to turning the green World eX merchandising into a reality for the series and its fans.”

Susanne Rockenfeller joins the World eX team by heading up the development of merchandising within RCCO E-Sport AG. She has a business background in fashion and now works on the project alongside her husband Mike Rockenfeller, CEO and co-founder of the RCCO E-Sport AG. “It is great being part of this project and we at World eX are very excited about the chance to work with Cybergroup,” says Susanne Rockenfeller. “We are familiar with their work in the DTM paddock and they stand for ultra-professional products – a perfect partner for World eX.”

Fans can look forward to the first green World eX merchandising becoming available later this year. The opening round of the 2021 World eX season will be the eX Prix of Great Britain at Silverstone broadcast on March 11 from 20:00 CET (www.rccoworldex.com/watch).
