bahnshop.de is live!

After months of planning, bahnshop.de is now live! Together, Deutsche Bahn AG and Cybergroup pulled off a project to make travelling by train even more fun.

This is no April Fools - 1st April is the provisional completion date of a prestigious project: On this day bahnshop.de will go live. For months now the teams at Deutsche Bahn AG and Cybergroup have worked together to put together extraordinary product ranges and to present an optimised shop for train travellers as well as employees.

 

In five weeks of intensive work, last year Cybergroup's 13-member Deutsche Bahn team developed a future-oriented marketing concept for promotional goods with a total volume of more than 25 million euros. Cybergroup has been supporting the transport company with the largest railway network in Europe for over seven years. Upon winning the tender, the promotional goods partner is now also responsible for the whole merchandising range and the support of bahnshop.de, in addition to the promotional goods in the previous click shop.

 

To underline the brand value of Deutsche Bahn with regard to quality, sustainability and digital competency, the whole range has been redesigned. Both the products in the official merchandising shop bahnshop.de and its online appearance reflect the corporate strategy and the whole marketing concept. The sustainable approach of the railway as the most environmentally-friendly means of long-distance travel range from the selection of packaging to the delivery of the corresponding products. Wide-ranging marketing measures on board the trains, in the travel centres, at events and online aim not only to tie existing customers to the brand, but also to attract new target groups.

 

With the new, streamlined product range it was important for both partners that railway fans as well as employees and departments can access a standard range of products. In addition, the articles have a clear connection to travelling, consumer benefits and sustainability. Strong brands in the range create trust and stand for the high quality of Deutsche Bahn AG. The global procurement processes, individual creative article solutions and the latest storage technology make Cybergroup the perfect promotional goods partner for the transport company. Deutsche Bahn AG thereby represents one of the biggest and most important customers for Cybergroup.

 

Curiosity about the new bahnshop.de had been fueled in advance on social media. In the first newsletters and product videos, highlights of the product range were presented, such as a rucksack for digital nomads and the perfect travel headphones. At the same time, campaigns are running in the shop itself to boost the sales of the high-quality range - and to make people want to travel by train.
