Baby emergency doctor's vehicle "Felix"

cyber-Wear is sponsoring the Felix project of the Björn Steiger foundation

The number of premature births in Germany is rising. Where possible, premature babies should not be transported at all. Despite this, around 640 premature babies are transported each year in Germany. Many of them are unable to receive sufficient care at the place they are born and have to be moved to a special clinic. Most of them are transported in regular ambulances - which don't have special suspension, and often perpendicular to the direction they are travelling. Ensuring the newborn is transported in a still and vibration-free manner can be a matter of life or death.

After a two-year planning phase, the baby emergency doctor's vehicle system "Felix" is now finally on the road. The intensive care transport vehicle for premature babies and infants up to the age of 6 months is a version of the previous model which has been revised from scratch, to meet the high demands on transporting babies.

The crew of "Felix" is always prepared for emergencies. Special paediatricians and care personnel regularly take part in training courses and train in practical emergency situations. The drivers of the vehicles also undergo continual training with a special mobile driving simulator, not just to increase safety for the baby, but also for the whole crew.

"Felix" is not available for sale. The objective is to improve emergency care and save human lives. "Felix" is therefore used in particular at locations which transport a high amount of newborn babies. The baby emergency doctor's vehicles are financed with help from regional donation campaigns and sponsors. cyber-Wear is one of these sponsors.
