Alta Seta in the next CG Live Talk

Now it's getting exciting, because we can tell you one thing: The topic will be the new product: Ocean Towel. What cool campaign is it and what is the Ocean Towel? More on that on Wednesday.

When you are on holiday lying on the beach, there's one thing you definitely don't want to see: washed-up plastic bottles and bags. And simply the thought of tons of old plastic floating somewhere in the ocean is highly unpleasant. That's why Alta Seta is now offering something directly for your beach bag: the awareness of having made a small contribution to cleaning up the seas.  Because parts of the towel are made of ocean plastic. However, there are plenty of green campaigns and products around, and many of these are launched hastily and without much thought. Each new and apparently green solution raises 1000 questions:

How green or ocean blue is the whole thing really?

Where exactly does the plastic come from:  is it really fished directly from the seas or collected on the beach, is only recycled plastic used, or is that only a fraction of the total? We're curious about the Alta Seta solution.

Will I still get a soft fluffy towel?

We will also talk about this in the CG Live Talk. With towels made of 100% polyester, you can't really imagine them still being soft and absorbent. So, where does the cotton come from that makes our towel as soft and absorbent as we want it to be? Again, we're curious to know what solution Alta Seta has in store for us.

And who is Alta Seta anyway?

The question of quality inevitably leads to the question of who the manufacturer is.  Originally Alta Seta made ties and handkerchiefs - and silk accessories in general - and was based in the historic town of Wunstorf, between Hanover, the capital of Lower Saxony, and the Steinhuder Lake. In recent years the tie business hasn't been doing so well - but who knows, they may come back into fashion soon. Nevertheless, the company has been successful in delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction for 17 years. INDIVIDUALISATION and CREATIVITY are particularly important here. The congenial team develops individual concepts for corporate fashion, for trade fairs and for merchandising collections.

In the CG Live Talk Patrick Polaniok will show us exactly what is behind the Ocean Towel, and what it looks like. And one thing is certain: with Alta Seta you can count on quality and creativity!

We recorded this talk before the Corona crisis.
