34 CYBERGROUP OUR BUILDING With the move to a new building in 2019, Cybergroup started a new era and redefined our corporate philosophy. This philosophy is based on sustainability, social responsibility and quality management. Cybergroup are aware of our responsibility towards the environment, our employees, clients and suppliers. We have committed to the goal of promoting the topic of sustainability. From the conception and planning stage sustainability was taken into account, fine details such as positioning the windows to be north facing in order to avoid excessive heat. With the new building it was of course also possible to incorporate the latest technology. The first measures for the ecologically sensible management of the building were taken with the installation of the first solar panels on the roof with the goal of generating the electricity for the company and being completely self-sufficient. In addition to this we had a goal to reduce the level of power consumption. This was achieved by making multiple small changes for example LED light sources - some of which are controlled by motion detectors, light sensors or timers. This guarantees that energy is only ever used when it’s needed. Additionally we committed to only source any additional electricity requirements from green providers. The result is that we have been operating as 100% CO2 neutral since we opened in 2019. ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT Moving into the new building enabled us to implement new systems and to consistently and to successfully deliver new processes. This has enabled us to achieve accreditation according to DIN ISO 14001: 2015. We have already achieved a lot with the new certification. With the new building, waterless urinals were installed, high-speed doors built into the warehouse to prevent heat loss and the office is largely digitalised. The consideration of the environmental impact preceded the whole thing accordingly. The weighting of the influencing factors in all business areas ensured that the measures were prioritized.
