Donation for the victims

Together with their employees and customers, BREER Heidelberg has been collecting donated items and delivering them to an aid organisation in the Palatinate region of Germany. Some of the donations have come from us and from our employees.

In recent weeks, a number of areas in Germany have been devastated by storms and catastrophic floods.  Many people have lost everything, in some cases losing possessions that had been built up over an entire lifetime. Cars were washed away, houses were completely flooded or even torn out of the ground, and whole villages were destroyed. Quite a number of people are now having to start from nothing again, having lost everything they owned. They are trying to save anything that can still be recovered, and some are already starting to rebuild their lives.

BREER Heidelberg wanted to help the people affected by this disaster. They did this, on the one hand, with a financial donation to the campaign "Deutschland hilft" ("Germany helps") and, on the other, by collecting donated items together with their employees and customers, including us. We asked all our employees to bring into the office any useful things that they had lying around at home and didn't need, e.g. blankets, backpacks, bags, power banks or water bottles. We collected quite an impressive number of items and were therefore able to make a generous donation to the aid organisation in the Palatinate region. In such a terrible situation, it is important that people stick together and above all that they help one another, and we are really happy about the way we all pulled together as a team and the fact that everyone was prepared to do their bit to help other people.
