The Spectaculator makes maths colourful

Pocket calculators are intended to carry out their functions quickly and reliably, however, their businesslike design can usually only be described as boring. The Cybergroup presents a unique twist to these promotional items, which now gives free reign to your imagination

2 x 3 is 4… oh, hang on… Whether out of convenience, lack of concentration or just to be on the safe side, it’s always practical to have a calculator to hand. Therefore, it’s no wonder that one can be found on just about every desk. The usual standard models in businesslike grey and in a practical design not only bring about solutions to the most tricky calculations, but often also boredom too.

But the Spectaculator takes a stand against this: This calculating aid is the first calculator that can undergo straightforward 100% customisation. This dual power calculator is completely white in our warehouse. But with the aid of UV printing, it can be printed entirely all over. There are no limits to your imagination! Whether a bar of chocolate, bag of crisps or any other photorealistic, brilliant design. And because even the keypad can be printed, it’s even possible to apply a design to the number keys, whether an increasing number of footballs for sports clubs, or different amounts of coffee beans for your favourite cafe. And is if that wasn’t enough, we also came upon the idea of the dialect calculator. Here, the numbers can be written on the keys in the desired dialect, for example ‘ane, twa’ in Scottish dialect. A real eye-catcher, because even the display can be integrated into the design.

And as a little brother to the large calculator, you can also choose a kitchen timer. This is also available all year round in white, and is customised in the same way. The Cybergroup’s latest YouTube video presents the Spectaculator in a humorous light, showing some of the printing ideas that are possible. And the promotional items supplier has already offered the calculator to its clients, using the logo for the last PSI trade fair as an all-over print on the calculator. The video also provides a short glimpse of the production process, showing that the manufacture is uncomplicated at first glance, yet completely unique.
