New digital studio for professional meetings

Meetings 2.0: New times require new ways of doing things. From now on, we will be using our Comms Corner to hold customer meetings, consultations and presentations digitally using professional lighting, sound and camera technology.

Why do we need a digital studio in the current times? Last summer, after the first lockdown, we asked ourselves whether there was any way that our communications with our customers could be improved upon and made even more professional without being able to actually meet up with them face-to-face. Telephone, Teams, Zoom, WebEx – surely it must be possible to do more! During the first lockdown, many companies came to realise that meetings can and must be held digitally. However, it is certainly more difficult to convey the professionalism of a company, or its image, via webcams or conference rooms. We sat down with our digital team to discuss the issue and came up with the idea of a Comms Corner, as we call it. To be quite honest, we never expected such positive feedback or enthusiasm from our customers in response to our new way of presenting ourselves.

In future we would like to use the Comms Corner for professionally run customer meetings and consultations using the latest lighting, sound and camera technology. All key accounts can book the Comms Corner for their appointments and you will no longer need to worry about the way you come across in the digital context. As the technology is permanently installed, there is no need for setting up or dismantling.  What do you think of the studio? How have you found the initial contact with your customers?

Incidentally, as well as the Comms Corner in Mannheim, we also have a second studio in our branch office in Wipperfürth. Here we have set up a huge Green Screen Studio with all the required video, lighting and sound equipment to allow a range of completely new options for shooting videos. An object or a person is placed against a green background and you can then change the background as you wish. Sounds simple, but it has great potential in terms of applications and means you can create videos with a mountain range as a backdrop, sitting in a racing car, or even against the New York skyline.

Two studios to allow us to stay in close contact with our customers. Because now more than ever, the importance of good communications is once again becoming clear.
