On Friday evening, an impressive fire drill took place on our company premises. It was organized by our colleague Lukas Ränk, who is not only fully committed to cyber-Wear but also passionately involved in the volunteer fire department.
The drill began around 7:30 p.m. and simulated a machine fire at the compressors of the packaging machine as well as a forklift fire. Additionally, five people were considered missing. Several breathing apparatus teams searched the building and fought the simulated fires. By 9 p.m., the exercise was completed, followed by cleanup operations. Afterwards, the team briefly toured our warehouse before returning to the fire station. A total of 30 emergency personnel from the North Division were on site with four vehicles.
A big thank you to Lukas Ränk for organizing the event. Lukas has been part of the cyber-team for over five years, completed his apprenticeship with us, and now works in the incoming goods department. In addition, he takes care of landscaping and is our all-round talent for any tasks that arise. His commitment to the fire department inspired the idea to hold such a drill on our premises.
At cyber-Wear, we support and encourage volunteer work because it fosters responsibility, teamwork, and social skills. Activities like these highlight the importance of being prepared for emergencies – a contribution to society that we see as a given.
